Massachusetts Resources: 527 CMR 12.00 and NFPA 72

Massachusetts candidates need a wider reference stack than the Texas NEC-only setup. The Massachusetts journeyman exam is run by PSI for the Board of State Examiners of Electricians, and both parts are open book against the NEC 2026 plus the state amendments in 527 CMR 12.00 — as well as NFPA 72, the applicable Massachusetts General Laws, and the Board rules in 237 CMR 11.00–23.00. Massachusetts adopted the NEC 2026 through 527 CMR 12.00, so the code edition is the same; what differs is the amendments booklet you must know alongside it.
