Passing the Texas Journeyman Electrician exam requires more than just reading the code. You need a structured plan that covers every NEC chapter, drills your code-navigation speed under exam conditions, and builds the calculation skills tested in the second scored section — all before test day.

This 30-day checklist is built around the open-book NEC 2026 and mirrors the two scored sections administered by PSI for TDLR: the NEC Knowledge section (59 questions, 130 minutes) and the Calculations section (26 questions, 110 minutes).
